Future Couture Liveshoot at SHOWstudio with Daphne Guinness

I just stumbled across this, which should be pretty interesting:

"Watch Daphne Guinness live in Nick Knight's Future Couture shoot on 21-22 December 2011, modelling creations by Paco Rabanne, Gareth Pugh, Maison Martin Margiela, Junya Watanabe and Rick Owens to star in the Spring 2012 windows of Paris' Le Printemps department store."

Now live at Showstudio The Home Of Fashion Film.

Best Buy 2011

Sometimes your favourite purchase doesn't necessarily have to be expensive to be great. My best buy this year were some lovely faded black skinny jeans for just 29 Euros from Zara, that I wear a lot. They are the perfect colour, a lovely comfy fit, just the right length, nice and sturdy material (I don't like Zaras thin material jeans), just the right amount of stretch (1%Elasthan), and they don't ride down if you wear them without a belt. Truly brilliant! Best jeans in a long time! Wanted to have them in grey and blue but they were sold out in a whim. Thank you Zara! Please make them all like this in 2012!

What was your best buy in 2011?

Gift Idea: Bangles from Frosted Willow

These lovely handmade bangles from Frosted Willow make a really nice gift for Christmas and the good thing is, they don't cost a fortune! So you can go crazy on them and stack them for some serious arm party! Get them here, or if you live in Düsseldorf, you can get them in Heike and Gisele's lovely shop Kleine Botschaft!

Hot or Not? Graphic-Knit Sweaters

Jil Sander

We have seen them at Jil Sander, Céline and Chloé for a/w 2011 and even the high street is doing their own takes on graphic sweaters. What do you think? Have you seen them about? Are they spicing up your wardrobe, or are you passing this trend?

Mad About Cosy Knits

Whistles Camilla Stripe Cashmere

Got to have a few cosy knits come Winter time. Some thick some thin, but with lots of wool and cashmere, here's my selection. Neutrals fit with everything, a splash of colour - why not, some bold stripes - definitely, black and white - classic, a little military inspired with epaulettes - always welcome, slouchy and soft a la Marant - gimme gimme gimme, leo collar - yep. Already tried and approved is the Prego version that just hangs and looks effortlessly cool on. Hard to pick my favourite as I wouldn't say no to any of them!

Kate Moss as Ziggy Stardust for Vogue Paris

For their December Christmas and Music Issue, French Vogue transformed Kate Moss into David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust, complete with the orange spikey mullet! What a great cover! This is not the first time that Moss has done a Bowie, have a look at the cover of British Vogue in May 2003, where she posed in the style of David Bowie's Aladdin Sane with a lightening flash superimposed over her face and payed tribute to him by dressing up in some of his original stage costumes inside the magazine. Suits you, Kate!

Everybody's Starry Eyed...

... and everybody glows!
Stars are everywhere this season (actually they don't really go away). Remember the Kate Moss collections for Topshop? Right! So here are some more, folks! I guess Dolce & Gabbana kickstarted it this time! Star printed fabrics immediately inject some Rock'n Roll vibe and coolness into your outfit, so you can safely go along with them. Team a star print blouse with faded black jeans and ankle boots, or burgundy coloured pants. Wearing stars on top I like to keep my bottom half uni and vice versa, but if you like, you can go mad on them and do an Anna dello Russo!
